This past weekend Cam and I went down to Las Vegas with my family to the Nascar races. This was Cam's first time at a Nascar race. We spent most of the day Saturday at the track walking around the vendor booths and watching the Nationwide race. We lost track of time and did not leave early enough to beat the traffic out of the race grounds. Such a horrible mistake, we sat in traffic for over 3 hours just getting off the race grounds and getting back to the hotel! But what do you expect when there are over 150,000 people packed into one location!?
Sunday morning, the day of the big race was no different! We went to breakfast and headed for the race track, only to hit traffic on the freeway, once again. But it is all part of the experience and totally worth it. One of my favorite parts of attending a Nascar race is taking pictures of all the people there! Talk about loyal fans! These people deck out head to toe in their favorite driver's apparel and are not quiet about it! Every time their driver passes by on the track or is mentioned by the announcers these people salute and cheer like crazy. In the parking lot, it is common to see flags of driver's numbers, American and Confederate flags flying from large poles hitched to people's cars. I love it! We had tons of fun and the weather was great, and I can't wait to go again next year!
You two are so white trash!!
